Deceptive beauty

Without question, “flower wars” is the most beautiful, powerful and dramatic film which has this year (or last, I can remember). I look forward to the movie is that it could be United just for the sake of getting nominated for best picture at the Oscars. Many of these films have an explanation, although a mixture of China, Japan, and the United Kingdom so beautifully done that, sometimes, I completely forgot that I was reading the subtitles.

Took place in 1937, the film depicts the brutal Japan took the city of Nanking, China, ( , also called “rape of Nanking” or “Nanjing massacre”) from the Chinese perspective. Based on the book of Nanjing “female”, 13 it tells the story of the cemetery, with the help of a group of fourteen women’s red-light district and the Chinese army is specified, try to help a group of female students twelve fled their of the Cathedral in War torn Nanking. In addition to worrying about his survival alone, the funeral must then disguised as monks to help keep the girls lived, sacrificed to escape free for “West face” to protect foreigners .

Film by Chinese director Zhang Yimou (“HERO,” “House of FLYING DAGGERS”), continue in the same vein of the “CURSE of THE GOLDEN FLOWER” with beautiful imagery and use of color. Although not quite as visually stunning, “flower wars” using color more subtle and deliberate way to make the sharpness in many moments of the most tragic and impacting. Amazing choice of direction of the shot, which is used for the movement of the actors in the set. One of those moments in the film shows a girl screaming through a small hole in the stained glass Windows, and shortly thereafter, part of a shattering window the same as the bullet fly through it to eliminate its source of pressure.

Make no mistake that the film was violent, powerful and very mature. It sprays the blood free, clear warning of the consequences of war and violence than their American counterparts “fantasy violence”. It also shows, in different scenes to different lengths of time: child abuse, rape, post-mortem mutilation, murder, and a lot of regrets and many deaths. In this way, the film recreates a very disturbing what hiding in the city might be like for the terrible events in history.

Christian Bale, the American cemetery, finally step lazy John up to the plate to try to help children, gave a wonderful performance. Although by no means the most he has ever given, it meets all of the characters, so that the film asks a lot of other actors really shines. Ni Ni’s amazing (in a way that is more than one) as the most self-assured prostitute, Yu Mo. Even more impressive is the view is given by Zhang Xinyi as Shu, the main protagonist of school girls. Shu is accused of being a traitor because of his father’s Alliance with Japan; he contemplated suicide for a potential rape him judge Yu Mo and has a crush on John; he spent part of the same shout and cry watch with fear stoic located deep within himself. This would be a sight to behold and admire of older actresses; that the girl was in the early days of his only make it more impressive.
